PRIVACY
Your data, plainly.
What Founder’s 91 does with your location and your questions, and what it keeps on your phone.
Your location
Founder’s 91 asks for your location only when you tap Use my location on the Map or in Ask Founder’s, or choose My location as your start. It is optional: everything else works without it.
Your position is used on your phone to show you on the map, plan a walk from where you are and answer “nearest” questions. It is kept in memory only while you use it, never saved, and never sent to us or anyone else.
One thing to know: if Ask Founder’s answers a question from where you are (for example, which washroom is nearest and how far it is), that answer becomes part of the conversation, and the conversation travels with your next question (see below). Your coordinates never do.
Ask Founder’s
When you send a question, your phone sends our server the conversation so far (up to the last 12 messages), the IDs of the events saved in My Day, and your phone’s clock time. Nothing about you: no name, contact details or location.
The server answers from the School’s published programme, the campus map and the heritage notes in the app. Your question is not sent to any AI service or other company.
Founder’s 91 keeps no copy of your questions and writes no log of them. To stop anyone sending too many questions, the server counts questions per internet (IP) address, up to 20 in 10 minutes. That count is held only in the server’s memory, is not saved to any database or log by Founder’s 91, and is gone when the server restarts.
What stays on your phone
My Day: the events you save, and how you sort them. The Map: the start point you last chose. Install: whether you dismissed the “Install Founder’s 91” suggestion. Ask Founder’s: the current conversation, kept only until you close the tab, or until you tap New conversation.
For offline use, your browser also keeps copies of the app’s pages and map files.
All of this stays in your browser and is never sent to us, except the saved event IDs that go with an Ask question. To clear it, remove events in My Day, or clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings (on most phones: Settings, then the browser, then website data).
Cookies, analytics and other companies
Founder’s 91 sets no cookies, has no analytics or advertising, and loads no third-party scripts. The fonts and the campus map are served from this site itself; no map tiles come from Google or anyone else.
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives your internet address and basic request details when your phone loads a page, and keeps standard technical logs under its own privacy policy.
No accounts, nothing sold
There is no login and no visitor account. Founder’s 91 does not collect your name or contact details, does not track your movements, and does not sell or share any data.
